Who Is This For?
This course is suitable for ANYONE with a desire to better understand and manage their blood sugar. Perhaps you have been living with diabetes for some time and feel that the conventional approach (usually involving an ever-increasing reliance on medication) isn’t working for you; you may be newly diagnosed with diabetes, pre-diabetes or gestational diabetes and looking for guidance; or perhaps you simply want to avoid the energy slumps, mood swings, and interrupted sleep that can so often arise from blood sugar spikes and crashes.

What Will I Learn?
Over four weeks, we will cover essential topics for managing blood sugar and improving health. Jenny will prepare a variety of foods right in front of you, giving you the opportunity to see, smell and taste just how good eating well can be! You'll receive recipes and handouts that you can refer back to at home. The course content will be tailored to the needs of our attendees, but core concepts include:

-
Eating and exercising to optimize blood glucose regulation;
-
Blood glucose monitoring and interpreting results;
-
Preventing blood sugar spikes and drops; avoid sleepiness, lightheadedness, shakiness, and feelings of ‘hangriness’;
-
How to lower the risk of developing metabolic syndrome, prediabetes, and diabetes (including gestational diabetes); and how to manage and potentially reverse these conditions;
-
Using blood sugar management to impact inflammation and blood test results such as HA1C, lipids, and liver enzymes.
